Okay, Okay. You need to stop it now. If, like me, you're on Team 808, the group of people who know that Kanye's album was the best of last year (if only it had been released on 8/8/08!), then you will appreciate these tracks, probably.
That Patrick Doyle song is a track from the '98 film version of Great Expectations (yes, with Gwyneth) that Kanye sampled for Robocop on 808s and Heartbreak. He fixed that song right up! But they still go well together.
There is, of course, no such thing as a good mashup. They exist because they must, because instrumental tracks and acapellas float freely across the web, because Acid and Garage Band are ubiquitous.
Beyonce made her own take on Lil' Wayne's "A Milli" which is, if anything, even more insistent and repetitive. Which means I am loving it even more. And since it's called "Diva", guess what mode Beyonce's in for the video?
