Maxwell's "Pretty Wings". I've been waiting 8 years for him to put out a new record, and two years since I first heard a snippet of this track. Worth the wait.
Duringi the Al Green tribute on this year's BET Awards, one of my favorite singers performed one of my favorite songs.
As with when he covered Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work", Maxwell's got the chops to actually best an artist while covering their work. And, as I was explaining the other day, I basically only use MySpace as a dedicated Maxwell blog-reading service. Hooray!
